So, I've bought the front end parts but I have a few issues I need help with still. Car is a 2006 Mercury Milan Premier with leather/auto climate/heated seats. Kind of nice for a daily driver.

1) The airbag deployed, is there a charge canister available online or am I best off buying the complete module for about $70?
2) The drivers seatbelt is definitely locked, I'm having a bit of a struggle even getting it out to look at it. Why cant I find a lock release? Whats that "sensor" for thats hooked to it as well?
3) The under hood AC fuse keeps blowing, No idea why, any pointers here as well?

Damage was hood, headlight-D, radiator, radiator support, radiator fan, hood latch support, windshield. $5k car, $500 parts, might as well drive it till it stops right? lol

Hi from the mazda forum, apparen't my login info works here as well.
It's $70 bucks for something that will work I really wouldn't stress about looking for anything else since you've already found and affordable solution.
If the seat belt is already unbuckled just keep trying to get it to retract as much. If that doesn't work you'll have to replace it. Not really bad thing when you consider that it kept you safe and did it's thing.
Not all scan tools can communicate with your srs so you might have to visit a dealership or body shop to get them to reset the light. Srs WILL NOT WORK UNTIL THE SRS LIGHT IS RESET.
check for shorts.

Unplug and remove battery, remove srs fuse, try to start car. Use common sense and follow other manufacturer safety recommendations when working with airbags. Remove soft side up, soft side towadds face, when moving airbags. I've never seen anybody in a shop wait an hour after disconnecting a battery before beginning to work on an srs system. I know I haven't waited that long.
